थे मोस्ट पोवेर्फुल मार्केटिंग टूल फॉर coaches
Why Coaches should be speakers (AS WELL ! )For some coaches the benefits of adding speaking to Their coaching practice seems like a detraction from their skills , but I think very strongly that the opposite is true, consider this , for most coaches the biggest challenge is finding not just enough clients , but finding enough of the RIGHT kind of clients, the trouble is most of us have enough trouble finding enough clients without being picky, however there is an extremely effective method which I have developed over several years which not only keeps me busy with the clients I wish to work with but actually produces so many clients that I have to refer them to other coaches !, The method is professional speaking. Firstly I would like to tell you that I actually came from the speaking business and added coaching as opposed to the other way around as I am suggesting to you, I was a speaker who came across coaching in the States many years before it even appeared on the radar in the UK , and I am embarrassed to say that I never thought for even the most fleeting of moments that this could ever take off in England or anywhere outside of America, (How wrong I was is the understatement of the decade !) . My speaking career came about as a direct result of being an insurance salesman , After several years of struggle I decided to seek mentors in the form of the two top life insurance salesmen in the world at that time , the first was Joe Gandolfo who was so successful that he personally sold more life insurance on his own than 1500 0f the 1800 insurance companies in America, and the late great Ben Feldman, With the help of these two Men and my many many friends in the Million Dollar round table I went on to qualify as a member of the top of the table, A club within MDRT which represents the top 1% of salespeople in the world. As my visibility in the insurance field grew I started to get asked to speak about my success in selling , after a very short time I realised my passion was helping people and this became my fulltime career, However I was beginning to notice something that I found extremely frustrating, most people did not put into practice what they were learning or only made short term changes which fell away after a very short period of time, and as I wanted to make a difference to people more than I wanted to make money from them, this was just totally unacceptable to me and I needed to either find a way of making the changes stick or I simply wasn't prepared to carry on. Coaching was the solution ! In an attempt to solve the problem I took a second look at coaching which turned out to be the ultimate solution for my clients, as I then put together workshops and seminars which included ongoing support in the form of coaching for an initial period followed on with the option to continue coaching if desired , interestingly but not surprisingly an extremely high percentage of clients opted to retain my services as a coach for an extended period of time, allowing them to have someone reinforce the skills in their sales force until the benefit of the new skills could be seen and habit forming by repetition had taken over. Public workshops If you are not working with large companies and find it difficult to get in with these companies then holding public workshops may very well be the solution that you have been looking for, I hold ten public workshops a year in Jersey in the Channel Islands, These are something I developed which I market as "The Small Business Support Scheme " which I promote as workshops which are personally subsidised by my company to help small business obtain world class training at a fraction of the cost. I charge £47 per delegate for the two hour seminars which includes workbooks and refreshments, around 40 people attend each session so the sessions are financially viable in themselves, but with the offer of ongoing coaching from the platform coupled with my evaluation form which simply asks "would you be interested in Life/Business coaching, I normally receive several new enquires which results in three to four good quality new clients every session. Over the last few years I have been receiving an ever increasing amount of enquiries from coaches wishing to incorporate this lucrative and rewarding model into their practice if you would like to find out more please contact Mark Baker on 01534 486550 or email me at info@markbakerint.com To your continued success Mark Baker www.markbakerint.com
